Repurposed Clipboards

Got an old clipboard hanging around? Why not repurpose it as a photo frame? We made these this week aren't they cute?
Here's Macie's. She used Olivia papers and make several paper roses.

This one is Gina's. She used Mayberry papers, with lots of paper roses with Glitz glitter gel on them.
Raina had to be different. She used Back Country papers and stamped a forest using C1348 Treetops stampset and some buttons.
The girls have decided that these are too good not to share. So they have volunteered to work in the craftroom sweatshop to make many of these. We are in the process of getting a booth at the Cornelius Thursday market and will be selling these clipboards for $10. Raina has already sold hers and has an order for 1 more. Not to be outdone by my daughters BFF I have an order for 2 of them as well. :)
The girls are fund raising for their trip to Washington DC. They are very motivated to raise money for the trip and have lots of plans for making many different clipboards, decorative notepads, cards and whatever else we can come up with.
As soon as I have dates and times we will be at the market I will let you know.

Getting back into the whole blog thing.

I realized that I need to get back into the habit of blogging. I started this blog at the same time I started playing those time-sucking games on facebook. Obviously for a period of time the games won out. I've been game free for awhile now and working on lots of projects. I also found out I can schedule posts. Wow - who knew? So I can do several on a weekend and schedule them to post later. Considering I've posted nothing since February of last year - this will be a test to see if I can actually do it. :)

Swap Spoiler

For 2010 our unit has begun a swap. Each meeting has a hostess assigned. You bring some paper and an accessory. Each person makes 4 cards using the accessory and as much or as little of the paper as they want. Each card must be the same. You can add whatever you like to them. Well my first round card - let's just say it wasn't all that inspired. So this time I went for it and this is what I came up with.
It just so happens to be my husband's birthday today too. He came in and I showed him and he got all excited and asked if it was his birthday card. Lucky for me I made 5 of them and the last one I could still make into his birthday card. Who knew he liked flowers? In 14 years of marriage he's never bought me any. LOL
